No, I didn't forget to post - I've been away sans computer, but Santa conveniently dropped me off on his way back North so I might present this little gift to the talented and lovely [livejournal.com profile] meris_mfu, who has given me so much delight with her own writings.

She asked for Napoleon....and exercise, so herewith I present

Challenge 33, The Odd Challenges Challenge, is closed. There were two replies to the challenge and both can be found in [livejournal.com profile] muncle's memories under Challenge 33 (not bookmarked under the previous challenge numbers).

There will be a short hiatus from challenges, until Jan 2, when we'll start up again with a challenge topic that was popular in both the NS and IK vote. It seems a great topic for kicking off the new year.

The Down the Chimney Affair responses are up to date in [livejournal.com profile] muncle's Memories as well. Click here to see them all.

Okay, I'm a smuck! I'm not finished but I promise I will finish it. Just need more time... and a hard beta. [livejournal.com profile] sithdragn helped me as much as she could but she is a busy Christmas time person

Any way [livejournal.com profile] ndannais asked for Napoleon losing his voice. The fic is not finished but I thought I'd give you a wee taste of what I'm up to. :)

Not Beta'd. Sorry for the errors. I promise, the finished product will be beta'd. :)

For [livejournal.com profile] franciskerst, whose three requests fitted together into one story that wouldn't leave me alone. Is it true that plot bunnies multiply a lot faster in a warm and cozy environment like a stocking? :-) Joyeux Noel, Francis!

And many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dinahmt, whose super-fast betas were insightful and inspiring. It wouldn't be as good without your 20-20 vision.

I had enormous trouble posting the story itself to muncle. No matter what I did, none of the formatting was saved, and it was important. So I posted it on TCGM, which accepted it without a qualm. Here is the link, with my apologies:

This story is for [livejournal.com profile] shayheyred, who asked for Illya/Napoleon slash with some angst and a happy ending. This is my backup story, Shay – the original had a growth spurt that couldn't be contained in time to meet the Chimney deadline. So, you may consider this your small main course, with the larger dessert to be served as soon as is creatively possible. ;-) Happy holidays!

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bluster and Carol for their very insightful comments and suggestions!

A holiday gift for [livejournal.com profile] gilda_elise, who asked for Illya nursing Napoleon through a serious injury and a first time that Illya instigates.

Thanks to Marian Kelly for her usual impeccable edit.

For [livejournal.com profile] blackillya

This is a first: my first attempt to fanfiction writing, save of some short poems.
As it is longer than planned,  I only give "Part One" now, as my contribution to the "Down the Chimney Challenge",  but  "Part Two" will follow soon, I promise!

I cannot thank enough Di T for her help; she betaed with great care my text, correcting my many lexical or grammatical mistakes, and provided me with invaluable advices and suggestions.

For my good friend, [livejournal.com profile] przed, who asked for an Illya secret and keeping in mind her own writing, interests, and RL plans, this one seemed appropriate. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dinahmt for the beta.

Happy Holidays!

[livejournal.com profile] misspamela asked for a MFU banner for her lj or website. I hope you like this. I kept the file with the text seperate in case you wanted to change it. Just let me know.

Down the Chimney agents, it's time to begin posting your gifts.

Please remember:
* Six Down the Chimney posts per day. Please check the community's front page to see how many Down the Chimney gifts have been posted before posting yours.
* Do not post anonymously. Post using your own lj pseud.
* Post your gift directly to the community. Down the Chimney does not have a website for uploading. Not this year, anyway. :)
* Your subject line should have your story/art title, and Down the Chimney.
* The body of your message should include who your gift is for, using the recipient's lj pseud, and feel free to add a message or anything else that strikes your fancy. Story/art headers are optional and completely at the discretion of the author or artist.
* Stories should be behind an lj-cut. Artwork larger than 350x350 pixels, or explicit art, should also be behind a cut. Explicit art should also clearly be marked as such.

Much appreciation to everyone who took time out of their holiday schedules to participate, whether you are author, artist, pinch hitter (spasibo to you both!), or beta. Your time and efforts are directed to one but appreciated by many. Thank you all.

And now, on to the juicy stuff -- the presents!

[ETA: All gifts will be bookmarked in [livejournal.com profile] muncle's memories]

Calling Down the Chimney Agents!

Wishes have been received and now it's time for agents to accept their secret santa missions. Please read the instructions before sending your e-mail.

How it will work:

Below the cut are the wishes of fellow participants. Each participant is listed by number above their wishes. Your secret santa mission is to choose at least three participants/numbers whose wishes you would like to fulfill. You will fulfill a wish for only one of those participants. Remember, the more you list, the better to match you with someone whose wishes are ideal for you to fulfill. An e-mail will be sent to you next week letting you know who you are assigned and you will fulfill one of their three wishes.

Do not post your secret santa choices here! E-mail them to muncle @ livejournal .com (less the spaces). Please have "Down the Chimney" in your subject line. Your e-mail should list your three secret santa choices by number, and include your lj pseud.

Sample e-mail )

The deadline for secret santas e-mails is Saturday, November 6th.

And now, secret santa agents, if you're ready to embark on your mission...
